Comprehensive Pediatric Advanced Life Support Training in Tallahassee

 The Southeastern School of Health Sciences in Tallahassee offers comprehensive Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) training. This specialized program is designed to enhance the skills of healthcare professionals in managing critically ill or injured infants and children. 

Developed by the American Heart Association (AHA), the PALS course focuses on recognizing and treating patients at risk for cardiopulmonary arrest, managing respiratory and cardiac emergencies, and providing post-resuscitation care.


PALS training at Southeastern School of Health Sciences includes lectures, videos, skills stations, and scenario-based assessments. Participants learn to apply pediatric advanced life support algorithms and improve their teamwork and communication during emergencies. The target audience for this course includes pediatricians, emergency physicians, family physicians, nurses, paramedics, and respiratory therapists.


Certification is obtained upon successful completion of the course, including passing a written exam and demonstrating proficiency in required skills. PALS certification is valid for two years, after which recertification is necessary.
